Mim Best

Mim graduated from Derby University in 1998 with a degree in Applied Arts where she experimented with all aspects of 3D design and developed a broad knowledge working with  materials such as concrete, wood and perspex alongside precious metals.

Shortly after graduating Mim began working for Diana Porter in her Bristol workshop where she gained valuable knowledge and an insight into working as an independent designer in the jewellery industry. Having worked in the trade for the most part of 20 years Mim has worked her way up to senior level and has become a highly skilled jewellery designer in her own right.

She undertakes private commissions from her studio and has developed her own silver and fine jewellery collection, which will soon be available online and in selected galleries and retail fairs. Over the years her work has become ever more refined, exploring different textures in the metal and embellishing the pieces with coloured stones and intricately wire-wrapped beads. You can follow her on instagram for news and updates: @mimbestjewellery
